Being surrounded by water has its advantages - one being fishing! On Great Exuma and some surrounding areas, there are guides that can take you out to enjoy the sport of fishing. Or, if you wish, some people on the island are able to get fresh fish for you - depending on what's in season. Some examples of fish that are avaliable here are bonefish, snapper, marlin, sailfish, wahoo, tarpon, grouper and tuna. Lobster and conch are also popular.

In Exuma you can find many places to both snorkel and scuba dive. You can find a guide to transport you to these areas or you can go exploring on your own. Snorkelling is exciting for people of all ages – seeing the beautiful underwater sights of Exuma is something worth doing. For those who like to relax, you could lay on the surface and view the wildlife from above. But if you feel daring, you can dive down near reefs and holes to get a closer look – you never know what you’ll find!

If you feel like Scuba Diving, there are divemasters available around the island to show you to a place that will suit your needs, depending whether you're a beginner diver or a pro. Scuba Diving lets you see more of the untouched underwater world that you can find here in the Exumas.

Sandals at Emerald Bay offers a 18-hole championship golf course designed by golf pro, Greg Norman, with a backdrop of the bright Exuma waters. This course was named by Travel & Leisure as "Best Golf Course in the Caribbean".
